Have you noticed some rooms are hotter or colder than others? This is called temperature imbalance. 70% of this imbalance is from solar energy (sunlight) coming through the windows, and the most cost-effective remedy is window film. This film is applied to the inside of the windows, and the three main benefits of window film are ultraviolet light reduction, solar energy rejection, and glare reduction.

At Sun Stoppers, we sell films designed for any type of window manufactured, and 95% of the time the film makes these windows far more energy-efficient than the existing windows or replacement windows. With the hot summers in Indian Trail and the greater North Carolina region, it’s time to give your home and family the protection they deserve!

Common Questions About Tinting Your Home's Windows

Does the tint go on the inside or outside?

House window tint is applied to the inside of the window.

Can I tint just a few of my home’s windows?

Yes! You may even have particular sections of a window treated with window film if you’d like.

Can I apply my own window tint to my home?

As much as we’d like to install your home’s tint, you can do it yourself. However, be aware that the quality of the install job will significantly affect the life of the window film, and you should do thorough research before starting.

How long will it take for you to tint the windows in my home?

This is dependent upon how many windows you tint in your home. A whole house can take a whole day while a few windows take around an hour. Once you contact us, we typically can give an estimate within a day or two and complete an install within a week.

As a part of Union County, North Carolina, Indian Trail covers approximately 22 square miles of land and is situated 15 miles southeast of Charlotte. It has a population of 40,051 people.

The town of Indian Trail was founded in 1861, with the establishment of a post office named “Indian Trail.” It was named this because of its location on the Indian Trading Path, a historical Native American trade route that ran from Petersburg, Virginia to Augusta, Georgia. The town grew and became a prosperous farming community throughout the late 18th and early 20th centuries. Cotton, tobacco, and dairy farming were the main industries. Indian Trail was incorporated in 1907.

Today Indian Trail is home to numerous parks and recreational areas, and plenty of other unique tourist attractions. One of the most popular parks is Crooked Creek park, which includes playgrounds, athletic fields, and a dog park. You can also hike, bike, or run on the town’s greenway system which consists of several miles of trails, or go on a self-guided history tour on Indian Trail.

A few more unique Indian Trail attractions include:

Krysta C: “Mike and Randy were fantastic! Not only was I able to watch them tint my car, but they had me in and out in 10 mins and were super friendly the whole time. Randy enjoys it so much he said it’s tough for him to retire… and I see why, it was laid back and comfortable in there and everyone was so friendly. I regret every hour wasted in other tint shops, waiting, when I see it can be done so much faster. Thanks guy!! The tint looks so good!”

Shawnnah B: “Highly recommend this location! It was a very quick and painless process. Very comfortable waiting area and the staff was kind and accommodating.”

Devin M: “We just moved from the Northeast and got a recommendation from Stateside to visit Sun Stoppers for out window tinting on 3 vehicles. I stopped in for 5 minutes and all three were done within the next 48 hours. Not only were they quick to get me in but a great bunch of guys working there who know their stuff. Special thanks to Randy for making it all so simple and fast!”
